So what is it that actually goes through the minds of our young children as the adrenaline runs throughout their bodies?  Is it gaming?  I doubt it…  Is it skateboarding?? I doubt that too…. it is more exciting than that, at least for the moment that is.  From the looks on their faces, the excitement can barely be maintained within them. Winning or losing doesn’t really matter  as long as they have their share of kicks.  Go AYSO !!!!

As a proud parent, I am thankful and feel very blessed to be the father of this little soccer star…

  The shocks, the pegs , the jumps and the tropies….. for many young men, the thought of riding on a BMX track is a dream.  I can recall building ramps with just about anything we could find. Looking back know I am very greatful to have all of my limbs in tact. Thank God for praying moms…

 This shoot was my first BMX shoot and I must say it was amongst the funnest and only lasted a short period of time. Click click click and thats a wrap…. I will be back on the track this weekend April 17th and will hopefully win the Redline Back Raffle with my 80 tickets ha ha….

There are more things in life that money cannot and will not ever be able to buy. Yes a little bit of money is better than none but the images below are just priceless. Not because jayzee did this shoot but because of the very unique story behind “The Dress”….

This dress was first worn by this precious young baby’s great grandmother 75 years ago “WHAT??????….. Thats right!! 75 years ago and there are pictures to prove it !!! Way back smacking in 1935 it was made by a loving aunt with her very own two hands…. To this date, 2 of 5 grand daughters and after this shoot, all 3 great grand daughters have taken a picture while wearing it to carry on this touching tradition….. Thank you Josh and Michelle for the invite to be a part of this….

Me & Him

Oye amigo !! Tenga estas aguas. Como esta? Bien y usted? Tambien bien gracias. Que hace aqui? Aqui cuidando las bacas. Es lo que hace todos los dias?  Si.  Me da permiso de sacarle unas fotos? Para que? Porque soy fotografo y me gusta sacar muchas fotos….

Money can buy lots of things but it cannot buy The Moment. The perfect backdrop, the model, the lush green grass that will be dry in a matter of months and the 50 degree temperature with a breeze that makes ones bones ache. The wind that will bend sheets of aluminum nailed to a shack has no mercy to those standing in an open field. Get behind the shack or get beat down!!

The man and his chest high staff watch over some of the largest long horned cattle around. The scars on his face show that this job is not just for anyone…

There is nothing like beautiful blues skies and lots of broken up clouds on a long drive.  Ones imagination can go on and on seeing different shapes from cloud to cloud. We tend to see people,  autos, trains,  sharks, whales, dophins, sea horses , flowers and the list goes on and on. On this particular day I just so happen to name this shoot Sky Aquarium because thats exactly what I was seeing. Looking for something to help relax on a cloudy day? ” Take a drive !!! ” ….These were shot with a 8.o mega-pixel and hopefully they will be encouraging to all that have a desire to get out and shoot….

Life is too short to let it go by without doing the things that we find to be fun.  These activities often take up alot of our time and possibly time away from our families.  If we knew the consequences that were ahead  of us, would we really make the sacrafice? Or could we be pro-active and do something about it now? Do we want those closest to us hating what we do or do we want them to share the joy and laughs with us? To children, “Time Equals Love”. 

Practice doesn’t make perfect, it only makes us better…..

One day while at home, my precious son JP was doing what he loves the most and that is playing with guns, dressing up like ” My Little Revolutionist”, and running around wild enjoying life to its fullest.  Awwwww yes, what I would give just to go back to those days !!! His most recent questions of “dad, is it illegal to shoot the dirt? dad is it illegal to shoot the sky? dad is it illegal to shoot water? ” lol….. I can’t help but to smile at his innocence.

“JP, will you let me take a few pictures of you” I asked… ” Ok daddy ” he replied….

“It all began in a Starbucks drive-thru…… Daniel worked at Starbucks while attending Christian Life College in Stockton, California, and Lana was in town with her fellow music ministry team members for a music conference CLC was hosting, Heart of Worship. One of the days of the conference, Lana, Dawn, Amber, and Brandon all piled into Brandon’s pickup (Lana and Amber crammed in the back) and set off to find a Starbucks for their caffeine fix. As they ordered and pulled to the window, Daniel was there to greet them. Amber mentioned having met him at the Youth Convention prior. Lana thought to herself “He’s kinda cute,” and they drove away. 

That could have been the end of Lana and Daniel’s story, but lucky for them, they had two more days for “the moment” to happen This “moment” happened when Daniel nervously gathered his wits about him to approach Lana and make light conversation at “The Punch Bowl” during the HOW banquet… What they talked about, neither remember, but the moment happened. 5 years later, along with many costly phone bills, thousands of texts, countless emails, numerous transcontinental flights, one wonderful Swedish summer, not to mention all the laughs, smiles, and tears during it all, they had the moment to top all moments so far in their history, which happened during their very first Christmas spent on the same continent… 

“Daniel asked Lana to spend the rest of her life’s moments with him by her side.”

Long story very short, she tearfully accepted his hand. To commemorate this exciting beginning to the rest of their lives, jayzee (yes all lower case) agreed to a fun little photo shoot, and the following images are the result of that chilly night”

  Hmmmmmmm….. Fresh Air…….

Sometimes its great to just get out and enjoy the remote areas of our surrounding rolling hills and mountains. No traffic. No Stop signs. No street lights. No RED Light Cameras and NO WORK = ) !!! One day, my family and I will have a nice little get-way cozy cabin or cottage out in God’s Country = ) . Till then I will have to settle for the photos….

I think that alot of us may have an old point and shoot camera laying around somewhere that hasnt been used in quite a while.  Many times we are spoiled and won’t shoot unless we have the fancy camera with the telephoto or high apperture lenses. The mere thought of even being able to create something nice tends to discourage us.

So what is it really all about? The camera or the person behind to camera?

I refuse to let it be the camera for me so I busted out old Olympus FE-170 6.0 MEGAPIXEL and here is what I came up with….

There are many things in life that we can accomplish as long as we set our minds out to do them. The only thing that can and will ever hold us back is the person right in between our very own ears. Yup, that’s right !!! Regardless of our past and current circumstances we have the power to succeed or not to succeed…” To Be Or Not To Be ” …..

As a proud parent, I can only hope to leave a legacy and provide the most loving and caring enviroment for my babies to grow up and flourish in. There is not doubt in my mind that my babies know how much their daddy loves them and wants the best for them.  To simply pass on all the hugs, kisses and I love you’s that my amazing mother shared with my siblings and I is simply priceless… (  and for everyting else there is Visa right…lol  )

My Precious Princess Missy Poo played AYSO soccer this year and did a fabulous job. To see her running all over that soccer field was amazing to me.  My Missy Poo is one of the shyest young girls you’ll ever meet ( at least up until now that is ) and I am very proud of here and love her very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very much. Yes I know I wrote very over and over again but thats ok because this is not just any post, it is super duper special to me….

Ok Ok Ok…. I will get off my soap box now but not for long. I will be back with My Babies Part 2 ” My Jp” also know as Japes.  ( Japes is short for JP… I guess…lol… I don’t know )
